Using Adplane with Claude or ChatGPT

Connect your ad accounts once, then ask about performance and change campaigns in the same chat.

Adplane connects your Google Ads, Meta Ads, Microsoft Ads and TikTok Ads accounts to Claude or ChatGPT. Once connected, you can ask about performance and make changes to your campaigns in the same conversation, in plain language.

What you need

  • A Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft Advertising or TikTok ad account, or access to someone else's.
  • An Adplane subscription. A 14 day free trial starts when you sign up and does not require a card.
  • Claude or ChatGPT, on any plan that supports connectors.

Connecting, start to finish

  1. Go to adplane.ai and sign in with Google. Use the Google account you already use for Google Ads.
  2. Approve the Google permissions screen. Adplane asks for access to Google Ads so it can read your reporting data and make the changes you ask for. Google has verified Adplane's app, including this permission.
  3. Every Google Ads account you have access to is connected automatically. On your accounts page you can uncheck an account to hide it from your assistant, or mark it Read only so reports still work and changes are refused.
  4. Run Meta ads too? On the accounts page, connect Meta Ads and sign in with Facebook. Your Meta ad accounts and Pages join the same connector. Adplane is a verified Meta Tech Provider.
  5. Run Microsoft ads too? On the accounts page, connect Microsoft Ads (Microsoft Advertising) and sign in with the Microsoft account you use at ads.microsoft.com. If Microsoft says an admin must approve, Adplane gives you a link to send them.
  6. Run TikTok ads too? On the accounts page, connect TikTok Ads and sign in to TikTok For Business. On TikTok's page you choose the ad accounts to share, then TikTok emails a verification code to the address on the ad account, so have that inbox open before you start.
  7. In Claude, open adplane in the connector directory and click Connect. In ChatGPT, open adplane in the plugin directory and click Install plugin. The install page has the steps for every other MCP client, including Cursor, Claude Code, and Grok.
  8. Your assistant sends you through a one time approval. After that you are done.

Checking it works

Ask your assistant:

Example conversation
You
List my Google Ads accounts.
Your assistant

You can reach three Google Ads accounts:

AccountIDCurrency
Fernwood Outdoor123-456-7890USD
Fernwood Outdoor UK234-567-8901GBP
Harbor Coffee Roasters345-678-9012USD

Which one should we start with?

You should get back your accounts with their IDs, names, and currencies. If you do, everything is wired up.

Reporting

Ask about performance the way you would ask a colleague.

How did my search campaigns do last week compared to the week before?

Which ad groups have the highest cost per conversion in the last 30 days?

Show me search terms that cost more than 50 dollars and never converted.

Amounts come back in your account currency, already converted, so you can read them directly. The assistant tells you the exact date range it used. If you know GAQL, you can hand it a query and it will run it; the GAQL cookbook has copy-paste examples for the common questions.

Building campaigns

Describe what you want and the assistant assembles it.

Create a search campaign for our pricing page, 50 dollars a day, targeting the US.

Add an ad group for our main product terms with exact and phrase keywords.

Write a responsive search ad for that ad group.

Create a Display campaign for our spring sale with these images, 20 dollars a day.

Meta Ads

With a Meta connection, the same conversation covers Facebook and Instagram: reports, campaign structure, and creatives built from images and video you provide.

How are my Meta campaigns doing compared to Google this month?

Create a Meta traffic campaign for our spring sale using this image.

Microsoft Advertising

Microsoft Advertising works like Google Ads, with Search campaigns, ad groups, keywords, responsive search ads and negative keywords. A campaign can be removed only if it is paused and has never spent.

TikTok Ads

With a TikTok connection, the same conversation covers TikTok: reports at campaign, ad group and ad level, and Smart+ campaigns for website conversions, leads or app installs, built end to end with video ads that run under your TikTok account (Spark Ads). Use a video you upload, a post already on your TikTok account, or a creator's post they authorized for you, and get a preview link before anything runs.

Which of my TikTok ads had the lowest cost per conversion last week?

Build a TikTok Smart+ campaign for our spring sale from this video, 50 dollars a day.

TikTok's reporting can lag by up to about 11 hours, so today's numbers may still be filling in. A campaign can be removed only if it is paused and has never spent.

Changing what already exists

Renames, budgets, bids, and pausing or enabling.

Pause the campaign that is spending the most with no conversions.

Raise the daily budget on our brand campaign to 80 dollars.

You can also cut waste with negative keywords.

Add these as negative keywords across the whole account.

How Adplane keeps your spend safe

This is the part worth reading carefully.

  • Anything that could spend starts paused. New campaigns, ad groups, ad sets, keywords and ads cannot serve or spend until you turn them on, so you can build an entire campaign structure, look it over, and change your mind with nothing running.
  • Only one tool can start spending. Turning something on is a separate, deliberate action. No tool that creates a campaign, ad group, ad set, keyword, or ad is able to enable it at the same time. Nothing starts spending unless you explicitly ask for it.
  • Negative keywords cannot spend. They take effect as soon as they are added and only restrict where your ads show, so adding them is always safe.
  • Deleting is deliberately limited. On Meta, Microsoft Advertising and TikTok, Adplane can permanently remove a campaign only if that campaign has never spent money. On Google Ads, it removes one campaign, ad group, ad, or keyword at a time, and anything that has spent, or whose spend it cannot confirm, is removed only after it shows you what it found and you confirm. There is no bulk delete. To stop something running you pause it, which is reversible.
  • Changes are read back. After Adplane makes a change it reads the result back from the ad platform and reports what it actually stored, rather than assuming the change landed as requested.

The reporting tools cannot change anything. Raw GAQL queries are validated to be SELECT statements only, and the Google API used for reading cannot make changes regardless.

Disconnecting

You can disconnect at any time on your accounts page. You can also revoke Adplane's access directly from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. A Meta connection can be removed the same way, on the accounts page or from your Facebook account's Business integrations settings. A Microsoft connection can be removed the same way, on the accounts page or from your Microsoft account's app permissions (account.live.com/consent/Manage, or myapps.microsoft.com for a work or school account). Unlinking a TikTok account on the accounts page also asks TikTok to revoke Adplane's access.

Privacy and support

Adplane stores your Google, Meta, Microsoft and TikTok credentials encrypted and uses them only to serve your own requests. Full details are in the privacy policy. For anything else, email support@adplane.ai.
